Linking Sales Leaders

A few years back LSL Founder, Mike Stankus, entered the stage to give a speech to a room full of about 400 sales leaders. As he prepared to start his talk, he had a crazy idea on a whim to ask the audience how many of them had received any formal Sales Leadership training. Out of the entire crowd, only one person raised their hand. It was out of this moment in time that Linking Sales Leaders was born. Since then, LSL launched version 1.0 of the Fundamentals of Sales Leadership program, and hundreds of sales leaders have seen tremendous impact on their ability to lead teams. We’ve recently revamped the program after an extensive 6 month research and development period. 

Everyone has seen the proliferation of individual contributor sales training programs. There are plenty. But where is the resource devoted to the leaders who day in and day out have a direct impact on these teams? That is where Linking Sales Leaders comes in. 

Our mission is to have the greatest impact on the success of sales organizations by proliferating training, community engagement, content, and tools specifically geared towards sales leaders. 

Linking Sales Leaders, as its name indicates, is a social community. We want to engage with and hear from the various sales leaders in the industry. Our Team

Mike Stankus, Founder

Mike has been leading sales organizations for thirty + years and is currently a Senior Vice President at Acquia which is the 8th fastest growing private software company on the Inc. 500. Since joining  Acquia in 2011, Mike has built and led the inside sales, BDR, account management, and sales operations groups worldwide.

The Linking Sales Leaders program was created by Mike in 2008. Since it’s inception, hundreds of sales leaders have completed the program and continue to leverage the concepts, content, and tools.

Mike is frequent speaker at CRO events and manages the Linking Sales Leaders group on LinkedIn which has 14,000+ members.

Besides chastising his daughters for their social media habits, Mike is an avid surfer and fitness fanatic.

George Vallone, Founder & COO

George worked with Mike in sales for 4 years at Acquia starting as the first Business Development Rep ever hired at the company. After getting the program off the ground, George progressed through the company in a variety of sales and leadership roles. He runs the day-to-day operations at Linking Sales Leaders.

Active in the startup community in Boston, George runs a 800+ person networking group called Hackers and Hustlers and is active in fundraising for VIC, a Massachusetts General Hospital research group.

George enjoys carefully grooming his beard, Crossfit, travel, and spending time outdoors.
